zone41 theatre is located on Treaty No. 1 the original lands of Anishinaabe, Ininiwak, Anishininiwak, Dakota, and Dene peoples, and on the homeland of the Métis Nation. We are grateful to work and play on this land.
vision
zone41 brings theatre artists who live or have roots in Manitoba together to create multi-disciplinary new works and adaptations through ensemble collaboration. We look to our region, the world theatre repertory and our experiences and intersectionality as artists to inform the stories we tell. We are committed to accountability, to anti-oppression practices, to working slowly through multi-phase development and to paying all of our artists established professional association wages.

collaborations
zone41 cultivates partnerships with local multi-use galleries and venues such as the West End Cultural Centre to broaden our audience. We are grateful for our relationship with creation-oriented organizations like the Manitoba Association of Playwrights. We actively engage our peers at Shakespeare in the Ruins, Theatre Projects Manitoba, Prairie Theatre Exchange and Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre as these partnerships allow us to share production resources and to bring in educational opportunities in support of Manitoba artists.
